Ahmad Dahlan University

I’m student of Ahmad Dahlan University. Let’s talk about Ahmad Dahlan University. (UAD) is a development of the Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah Intitute of Teacher Training and Education (IKIP). The Yogyakarta Muhamadiyah Teacher Training and Education Intitute as a higher education institution is a development of the Jakarta Branch of the Muhammadiyah FKIP in Yogyakarta which was founded on Nopember 18, 1960. The Muhammadiyah FKIP is a continuation of the Muhammadiyah BI course in Yogyakarta which was founded in 1957. On December 19, 1994 with the Decree (SK) of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia number : 102/D/0/1994, it was determined that FKIP Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta changed its function to Ahmad Dahlan University.

Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage

Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University under the Royal Patronage (VRU)was founded by Her Royal Highness Somdetch Phra Raja Pitichha Chao Fa Valaya Alongkorn, Krom Luang, the Princess of Phetchaburi, H.R.RH. Princess Valaya Alongkorn was greatly concerned with the education of young Thai woman. Therefore, on June 4, 2475, B.E. (1932 C.E.), she donated four rai (.64 hectare) of land to the ministry of eduvation to establish Petchburiwittayalongkorn Teacher Training School. The current address of this original donation is Number 153, Petchburi Road, Thung Phayathai Sub-district, Rajathevi District, Bangkok. This building and land had previously belonged to Phraya Phactpongsawisutthathibordi (Sun Sundravej). The first group of student was teacher-training student, other post-secondary students, and secondary school students (Matthayom 7 and 8) transferred from Benjamorajalai School. The green color was chosen as the school color because green is the color associated with Wednesday, whish is the day of the week on which H.R.H. Princess Valaya Alongkorn was born.
